What an amazing year 2016 was. I got to see 18 couples tie the knot, profess their loves for one another, and see their families share in their love. From fathers serenading their daughters to choreographed dances, from hot hot weather to rain showers and even snow, from tears to laughs and hugs to high-fives and everything in between, this year has been perfectly memorable.
Nothing could possibly make me happier than waking up to a day were I get to capture the realness of people. All of these moments are just small glimpses into how amazing I feel my job is.
Countless hours were captured through the season showing how I shoot the formal part of the day – since it’s the most relaxed time for my amazing second shooters to whip out their iPhones for some video documenting of the formal part of the day!
From Mexico to Kelowna, Banff, Canmore, and all through the Rocky Mountains, documenting love can take you all over the place and I just feel so lucky to be able to create something that lasts literally forever. To think that one day these couples will be showing their great-grandchildren how their family started is nuts to me.
Thank you to everyone who supported me through this year, from my awesome family & friends to my wonderful clients, and everyone who took a moment to like my posts on this blog, facebook, instagram, and twitter. You are all what makes me feel amazing about my art. Without all of you, I wouldn’t be able to be doing what I love, so virtual hugs to everyone!
I know when I look at my parents’ wedding album I find such joy in seeing the way they look at each other. I biggest hope is that all the special moments I’ve captured this year with all my fabulous couples will have the same impact on their memories in the future. I also hope everyone feels the love through these couples’ days like I do.
I cant wait for wedding season 2017 to start in a few weeks and I look forward to new adventures and experiences. Can’t wait to share more with everyone!
