Last weekend me and my boyfriend decided to celebrate out 2 year anniversary in Banff. On one of our adventures around the National Park we ran into the wildlife!

Old Abandoned Farm Love!

March 19th, 2010 • Anytime

The other day I went to visit a friend for a little photo adventure.

A few months ago he had told me about an abandoned farm not to far away from where he lives – as soon as he told me I knew I had to go see it. So obviously we went to check it out before it was to late.

He had found out that the fire department was going to be doing a controlled burn this weekend and just so happened that it was going to be this farm. When we showed up there was a man moving around a bunch of old wood they had already taken out of a few of the places. Luckily he didn’t mind if we went exploring – so we explored.

When he had been their the last time he found a bunch of really interesting old nick-nacks but unfortunately someone had removed them all by the time we got their. During our exploration of the site we found a few strange things (dead birds, old mans undies, a pair of really old ripped up granny panties, cinnamon, a few other spices, and a bunch of toilet paper) I decided not to take photos of them since they were a little grouse.

But I did decide to take some poetic shots of the small details of this quaint old farm house. Enjoy!

Upstairs in the Barn.

In the hired helps home there was a strange hole in the wall…

I LOVE moss.

Brad told me that this is a really old light switch. The switch part was the middle circle.

It sucks to be fido! His home is just a little off & its full of bizarre items.

I love this window!

this is the view from the hill. On the left is the farm house, on the right is the home for where the hired help would stay behind it is a huge garage for what i can assume would be farm equipment, behind me was where the family lived and the square chain linked fence is around an old well.

Oldish spray paint can.

This rock was awesome! It was really that vibrant!

Old machine.

I loved this! Its the electrical unit for in the garage.

Old farm equipment.

More equipment.

This is my other favorite shot. I really like this plant, it was growing in all the rubbish in the back of the barn.

farm-blog-16

Grease anyone?

farm-blog-17

I <3 textures! Left is old wallpaper from in the home and on the right is from the outside of the barn!

Another shot of the plant growing in the rubble and on the right is the interior of the home – I think the fan might be out of commission.

Suzanne & Jenny – Friend Shoot

February 2nd, 2010 • Anytime

A few weeks ago Suzanne & Jenny asked me about doing a friendship shoot out in Banff. We hit up a few cool stairwells and funky rooms to make some great relaxed images of them alone and together. Here were some candid shots.

Props to Jackie at Make up by Jackie for such a great job on Suzanne and Jennys Great Hair and Make up!!!
