Nothing speaks to me more than smokey mountains and dreamy pug snuggles. This stunning Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise Wedding was full of both.
This year has been hard for me since the loss of my furbaby Tiesto (a sweet little fawn pug I had for ten years). When I met Janelle and Bobby they told me all about their little baby a sweet pug named Mika. I knew when they said they were driving across country from California with their puggo so she could attend the wedding in style (she had a custom made tutu to match Janelle dress), I just knew the day was going to be blissful.
Their day started with the girls getting their hair and make up done in the bridal sweet at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise before stepping into her first dress.
The guys hung out in the ballroom and Bobby waited patiently for Janelle to arrive outside in the forest. She walked slowly across the grassy ledge to tap him on the shoulder for him to turn and his mind be blown by her adorable beauty on their wedding day. After an emotional first look Mika bound across the long grass to her Mom and Dad. Between random naps she held her own during formals.
The B.C. forest fires effected Lake Louise’s stunning view but that didn’t stop us from getting some moody mountain shots to show them off. As we strolled around Lake Louise we stopped in several places for some cute moments before heading to the ceremony.
Julie from Rocky Mountain Weddings did such an amazing job with her team on the stunning ceremony area. I couldn’t believe how gorgeous it looked. The flowers from Forget-Me-Not Flowers were such a beautiful soft addition to their wedding decor.
My favorite part of the ceremony was when Bobby broke the glass and their sheer excitement got me so pumped up!
I love a great celebration and seeing how much joy people have for one another.
After the ceremony their guests headed to the cocktail hour where Birds of Prey were there to educate the guests and allow them to pet and take photos with them. This allowed us to get some extremely amazing shots with one of the Bald Egles and a sweet little owl. The bird handler was even kind enough to put a little owl on their cake table for me to grab some cute detail shots.
The night flowed with a grand entrance into their first dance and an emotional family cuddle puddle during Bobbys mom and son dance into a beautiful night of speeches and dancing. The night was topped off with a moody rain storm to give the couple that superstitious good luck for their marriage!
I couldn’t have been happier to spend the day with such amazing people and a big thanks for my wonderful second shooter Jeff for being such a gem to work with as always!
