Alanna & Ryan Engaged – Alberta Winter snow storm Engagement

September 23, 2014

In Calgary our weather can be super unpredictable. When we booked Alanna and Ryan’s engagement shoot it was going to be plus 23 out and sunny.

As I packed up my camera bag I noticed a shift in the weather. The fog was rolling in and the trees were turning white.

I hopped in the car and drove out to meet Alanna & Ryan – we decided the snow wasn’t coming down to0 bad and we went for it. Alanna being the trouper she is kept wearing a dress with bare legs! Luckily her and I have the same taste in footwear and were rocking the same boots..just in different colours.

After a bit she was super lucky to have Ryan to cuddle up with and keep warm. If only Leigh was there I might have been a little less cold; just kidding.

After a bit the snow was coming down like a runaway train. A+R rolled with the punches and some of the sweetest most romantic moments happened while they were freezing their bums off and sharing body heat!

After an hour Alanna was starting to turn blue so we decided that we were so cold that we needed to end our session by running to our cars in a full on snow storm.

Good thing we aren’t babies because we might have felt a little more cold than I’m letting on.

I really can’t wait to shoot these amazing people’s calgary zoo wedding next year!
