Kaitlin and Tanners stunning outdoor ceremony and intimate reception made for a perfect Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant Wedding.
Kaitlin and Tanner are my kind of people. Back in the winter of 2020 we did an amazing adventure session for their Engagement session – that’s when I really got to know them – they are up for everything and chill humans with a lot of spunk and love. Also Kaitlin’s smile just makes you want to smile!
Driving home from their Engagement session I knew their Wedding was going to be such a blast and to top it off, it was at one of my favourite venues in Calgary the Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant.
Let’s bring it back to the beginning of their Wedding day!
The morning started with the biggest hug from Kaitlin’s mom as she greeted me at the door. Kaitlin, already looking like a total hottie of a Bride, was laughing in the background with her Sister as they were getting the final touches done to their hair and make-up by Heather from Rozelle Studio.
First I love how Kaitlin and Tanner have so many amazing pieces of furniture in their home that they have collected over the years – I think it gives detail shots that extra personal touch.
Kaitlin and her fam jam hung out with me while I shot her drool worthy shoes and jewellery. Then it was time for Kaitlin to put on her dress. She looked absolutely stunning.
Before we knew it we were heading to her first look with Tanner.
He was standing on the top of the hill overlooking the smoky Calgary downtown skyline. As she walked up the winding path she met his back and a small tap on the shoulder, he turned around.
Their faces were lit up – I was in the distance crying as one does when they get to witness how much love is between two people.
After the sweet moments of seeing one another for the first time on their Wedding day melted in – we headed to the cars and off to the Canadian Rocky Mountains for pre-wedding photos.
Although, Kaitlin and Tanner chose to have their ceremony and reception at the Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant – a perfect place for a Wedding in my opinion. They very much are mountain people at heart!
So it was only suiting that they spend their pre Wedding moments together out in the place that feels like home.
Arriving at the parking lot they stepped out from their cars and my inspiration was in full bloom.
As we walked around the shore line set in the trees the light was giving us a full spectrum of possibilities. From moody moments to soft sweet moments made from the glowy forest light, we had it all.
Before I knew it we had to head back to the city for their ceremony at the Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant.
Their ceremony was warm and full of laughter followed by their first dance on the lawn and a stunning garden party vibe for cocktails before heading into the reception for dinner. The reception was filled with loads of laughter and love.
I just love photographing Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant Weddings! I couldn’t have imagined their day anymore perfect and set in such a beautiful historic place!
