Hello!

I am here for you! I have created this page to help you figure out what steps you want to take for possibly rescheduling your Wedding or session(s) with me!

Have a read below and reach out if you need any help.

Remember we are in this together – my heart goes out to everyone that is affected by this situation and I am personally trying to be as positive as possible and just want to remind you that your photos whether they happen when they are scheduled to, or they happen on a new date, will be amazing, fun and memorable if I have anything to do with it (Insert happy face here).

*2021 update*

*All postponements require an addendum to be signed and rescheduling fee to be paid. You will have 24 hours from when your addendum is sent over to sign/fill it out and get it back to me along with your rescheduling fee before the date is open again for others to book. I unfortunately can not hold dates for longer than 24 hours.

Postponing from 2020 to 2021 and changing your date to another 2021 date:

  • If you have already postponed your Wedding/Event from 2020 to 2021 and would like to postpone again: You may do so to another 2021 date pending my availability.
  • Another rescheduling fee of $525 including gst will be applicable to any date changes in 2021.
  • If you move to a holiday weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday , Monday) the rescheduling fee is $735 including gst – if available.
  • A new addendum will need to be signed and your rescheduling fee is due at the time of the re-sign.
  • If you choose to move to a date that I am not available you will forfeit your retainer and if you choose to cancel within 6 months of your Wedding date your remainder is due unless another Wedding is obtained for that date.
  • Your current contract will still remain valid/the same and the Package you originally booked/signed is still legally binding.
  • Please note you may upgrade your package at any time you just can not downgrade it.
  • If you choose to have an intimate Wedding vs a larger Wedding I am working with my couples to find a timeline to utilize their coverage if they have larger packages.
  • If you choose to cancel your coverage your retainer will be forfeited along with any rescheduling fees paid – you are still responsible for your remainder unless another Wedding is obtained for your date (within 6 months to your Wedding date – you may find details in your original contract under terms and conditions).
Due to the nature of how Wedding season is booked (May to November) and how the Wedding Industry is more seasonal, I want to address this now – In good faith I allowed flexibility with my schedule and contract to allow date changes in 2020 as we were hit with a new struggle no one had dealt with before – unfortunately in doing so I lost 90%+ of my income for 2020 and with any date changes for 2021 I will be losing my income again for this year.

I urge you to be flexible with your plans but understand this is an important time in your life and want you to have the best day ever!

Postponing from 2020 to 2021 or from 2021 to 2022:

  • A rescheduling fee of $735 including gst and a new addendum must be signed.
  • Your current contract will be moved to your new date.
  • You may upgrade your package but you may not downgrade your package.
  • You must reschedule 2 months prior or more to your Wedding date or an additional fee of $1000 plus gst will be due upon signing the addendum.

2020 policy

Do you need to Postpone ?

Between now April 2020 and May 30th 2020 – I would suggest checking out your options for postponement or downsizing your guest list if need be. We can still capture your day beautifully or move your date to another date that is available.

(Make sure to contact me about moving your date before you do so – so you don’t lose your retainer if I’m not available!).

June & July 2020 – It isn’t recommended yet to postpone your Wedding at this time – but do consider it and check out your options.

August and on  – Let’s be optimistic and positive – send them good vibes out to the world and hope that you won’t need to postpone.

Postponing your Wedding – Options

If your Wedding is between now (April 2020) and July 2020:

  • Your non-refundable retainer and current package are fully transferable to any available date within twelve months of your original date. I have decided to wave all transfer fees and make your non-transferable retainer that is intended to hold your Wedding date transferable if transferred to another available 2020 date.
  • Reschedule to a 2021 Saturday or Holiday Monday within 12 months of your original date – A rescheduling fee of $500 plus GST will be required to reschedule your date.

Please reach out if you have a unique situation, any questions or concerns. Remember I am here to help you and will do my very best to make sure your Wedding is amazing and captured beautifully!

*I also want to note and acknowledge that I have made the decision to charge a rebooking fee for Weddings that are rescheduled to a Saturday or Holiday Monday. I want to address it head-on here and hope that you can understand my decision to do so. As a small business owner, I’m realizing is I push my 2020 income to 2021 not only will I lose the ability to take on 2021 Weddings, I will lose the income that comes from those new bookings. I know things are going to be tight for everyone, my heart is hurting for all of us. Thank you for understanding this decision.

Postponing your session – Options

  • Your non-refundable retainer and current package are fully transferable to any available date within 2020.

I have decided to wave all transfer fees and make your non-transferable retainer that is intended to hold your session date/time transferable if transferred to another available 2020 date (Tuesday – Thursday).

  • Reschedule to 2021 within 12 months of your original date – A rescheduling fee of $50 plus GST will be required to reschedule your date.

Postponing your Wedding – procedure

Please reach out to your venues and confirm with them first to see what dates they have open for you. Then grab that list and send it on over to me!

Once we find a date that works for you, me, your venue and other vendors a rescheduling /addendum contract for your new date will need to be filled out signed and sent back to me. The addendum contract will move your current contract to the new date we have agreed upon.

Postponing your Sessions – Procedure

If you choose an available 2020 date with my normal session hours (Tuesday to Thursday) you will be emailed a confirmation of your session change with a new payment breakdown including your new session date/time.

If you choose to reschedule your session to 2021 within 12 months of your original date – A rescheduling fee of $50 plus GST will be required to reschedule your date.  Once received your session will be rescheduled and you will receive your new payment breakdown including your new session date/time.

Working with your Wedding Vendors!

In the last few weeks a lot of us have been overwhelmed with what’s going on plus personal issues or loved ones medically affected by this situation. I would urge you to take a second to make a plan and reach out to your vendors – I suggest keeping a list of who you have heard back from and who you haven’t so you can follow up if need be in a few weeks.

This is a brand new situation and experience for all of us that couldn’t be foreseen – I suggest reaching out to everyone to find out what their policies are with warm wishes. As personally I have been thinking about you and all of my other clients and reflecting on how much I appreciate you all and what I can do to make this easier for you.

It is industry standard to take a non-transferable or refundable retainer and some require the remainder regardless whether you decide to have your Wedding or not (under normal circumstances). I would suggest asking if they have a policy for this so you can be on the same page.
