A month back I was asked to shoot the cover of an up and coming Calgary Magazine. After speaking to the owners of the magazine I accepted with delight.
Not only did I get to shoot the cover but then found out they wanted me to shoot a full editorial spread for the magazine.
As the days got closer to the shoot, my ideas for poses, and lighting techniques became more intense and finalized.
The shoot its self was a great experience and a pleasure to do – the model was fabulous and was able to bring to life my ideas for poses and “dance moves.”
The shoot was inspired by a love of dance and fashion – two words I would use to describe my passions in life.
After the shoot I promised not to release the images until after the magazine went to print.
This was extremely difficult for me, as I love to show everyone my work. But the anticipation of counting down the days until it was out on shelves has made this moment even more special for me.
By the way this is my first official Fashion Cover on a Magazine.
The next few images are tear sheets from the magazine – when I get a hard copy ill take some photos of it and post them up later in the month.
