A Purrrfect Intimate Wedding at Banff Springs Hotel on the most beautiful rainy Mountain day.
Stephanie and Doug are my people – Animal lovers who are hilarious and so fun to be around. The joy these two create is so contagious. Every time I talk to Stephanie I always laugh – she’s just such an amazing human and she brought both of her cats to the Fairmont Banff Springs! After all, your fur babies are definitely family. I am sure they enjoyed watching the ceremony from above in their suite.
Steph and Doug, like most of my 2020 couples bumped their Wedding at Banff Springs Hotel to this year and then decided “hey lets just elope!” So that’s exactly what they did. Luckily Doug’s family was able to attend but Stephanie’s wasn’t able to fly here so her sister had them on video-chat throughout the day so they could attend from afar!
Kitten Cuddles
Their morning was relaxed and full of kitten cuddles and as we went down for the ceremony Stephanie had realized her bouquet was still in their suite so XXX was right on it! He’s such an amazing coordinator, he ran back to her room and grabbed it just in the nick of time for her to walk down the aisle.
Doug was super cute, his face lit up as soon as he turned to see her. These two I can’t tell you how it makes my heart gush they are just so cute.
The ceremony was perfect – slightly windy and the rainy mountain valley was absolutely majestic.
During the signing of their license a gust of wind blew Stephanie’s vail right into Dougs face and everyone was giggling as he hid behind it.
These two are just the perfect combo of friends, sweethearts and goofballs.
After the ceremony we headed out for their adventure session – hitting up a bunch of unique spots before heading back to shoot on the rooftop of The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel in their traditional Chinese ensembles.
Luckily for us the rain decided to pour just when we were ready to go outside but these troopers were totally into it! I’m glad because not every Bride wants wet hair on her Wedding day! When you see the photos you will see why it was totally worth the additional adventure outside!
Thanks Stephanie and Doug and your amazing Family for being such awesome humans to get to hang out with!! Hope you guys have an amazing Marriage full of more adventures together!
(Also side note for Photographers or enthusiests – I stitched over 50 images into the very first photo to get that crazy depth of field. These two held still for a solid 2 minutes while I photographed each piece!).
