52 North Venue in Sylvan lake / Lacombe County is the perfect place if you’re on the hunt for a Alberta Wedding Venue and you want something where you can have that “in the middle of no where” feeling but also be close enough to amenities that your guests can find hotels and transportation to and from your venue look no further!
Kayla and Brett told me all about this magical venue they had booked for their Wedding and I was completely intrigues as I had never heard of it before.
When I tell you they couldn’t have chosen a more perfect place to get married that suited the vibe and style!
Kayla is just as obsessed with dogs as I am and when she told me Moose her pooch was coming to not only their engagement photos but also their Wedding I was in puppy heaven!
Because 52 North Venue is a private property with lots of green space and their Ceremony was set down in a little valley Moose was more than welcome – I would say even a show stopper! He has a majestic smile!
In the morning I grabbed some coffee and drove from my hotel in Sylvan Lake down the winding dirt roads and found the venue – Brett and his friends were getting ready in the Vault – a speakeasy style Guest House right across from the main building.
They were more than ready to get the day going! Brett of course was in the best spirits and laughing at my horrible jokes as he got ready and I freaking love all the thought they put into their Wedding Party gifts. (see photos below!).
After Brett was all decked out I headed over to the Bridal Suite to find Kayla and her besties all over the place. Her mom (amazingly kind woman) helped me wrangle a few items for Kaylas detail shots!
Finally it was time for her to step into her dress and man let me tell you – Kayla is one freaking stunning Bride. Her pink hair and tattoos were perfectly complimented with the dress she chose. When her dad saw her for the first time I think we all cried a little bit.
Also side note Kayla and Bretts Wedding Planner (Blush and Lace Beginning ) has the best humor – I always wonder if people think I’m funny but I am fairly confident she thinks I’m funny. Also she did an amazing job with setting up everything. If you’re looking for a planner make sure to check her out because she’s worth ever penny!
After the most adorable Ceremony where literally I cried at least three times we did all the fun Bridal Photos and then headed off down the dirt road to do some Connection Photos – I swear I can tell their personalities when I look at their photos. If I didn’t know them I would be like yup those people are hilarious, goofy and amazingly sweet humans.
We headed back to check out what everyone was doing at cocktail hour and snuck in some champaign spraying shots before I grabbed some photos of all the details of the reception! It’s a really great idea to have those shots – after all you spend how long planning the style of your day – it’s perfect to have the photos as a keepsake in your album that becomes a literal family heirloom.
The evening was topped off with a slideshow, amazing heartfelt speeches and one freaking hilarious MC. He had me cracking up so much – later in the evening he changed outfits with Kaylas Mom. And just walked into the reception – those two are absolute gems!
