Shane and Stacey dreamt of a Winter Wedding at Emerald Lake Lodge – the couple traveled from Australia with their three children and 14 of their closest family and friends to celebrate their love in the breathtaking winter landscape of the Canadian Rockies!

With towering snow-covered peaks, a frozen turquoise lake, and the cozy charm of the lodge, it was the perfect place for their intimate wedding.

A Snowy Start to the Day

I arrived at Emerald Lake Lodge during a whiteout snowstorm, giving myself plenty of time to prepare before heading to the Viewpoint Ceremony Location. By the time I reached the site, the snow had settled just enough to reveal glimpses of the surrounding mountains.

As guests gathered, excitement filled the crisp mountain air. Shane was the first to walk down the snowy aisle, standing patiently as everyone eagerly waited for Stacey’s grand entrance. She appeared at the top of the path, holding the hands of their two little sons, who proudly walked her down the aisle.

As she made her way toward Shane, all eyes were on her, but Shane only had eyes for her – his face lighting up with pure love and joy.

A Ceremony Filled with Love and Winter Magic

Just as Shane and Stacey exchanged vows, another flurry of snowfall swept through, making the moment feel even more magical. Their youngest daughter sat happily with her grandmother, watching the ceremony unfold. As they shared their first kiss, the sky cleared, revealing the towering peaks that had been hidden behind the storm moments before—it was as if nature was celebrating alongside them.

After the ceremony, everyone made their way to the Yoho Lounge, where the warmth of the crackling fireplace welcomed them inside. The intimate space provided the perfect setting for heartfelt toasts and cozy moments together.

The evening continued with a private dinner in the President’s Room, where a beautifully set candlelit table awaited the couple and their loved ones. With stunning views of President’s Mountain in the background, they enjoyed an incredible meal, shared stories, and toasted to a lifetime of happiness.
